Can you even eat jellyfish? Don&#8217;t they sting? Aren&#8217;t they poisonous? Apparently not.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"gb-block-image gb-block-image-6051dfcb\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" class=\"gb-image gb-image-6051dfcb\" src=\"https:\/\/bucketlistjourney.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/Jelly-Fish-on-a-Fork-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"eating jellyfish\" srcset=\"https:\/\/bucketlistjourney.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/Jelly-Fish-on-a-Fork-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/bucketlistjourney.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/Jelly-Fish-on-a-Fork.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I did do some research before I ventured out on\u00a0my day trip to be assured that I would not be dining at a restaurant that was not up to health department code. After reading the rave Yelp reviews and being confident that I would see\u00a0no rat droppings, cockroaches or\u00a0&#8220;pet&#8221; cats\u00a0lurking around we went to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rnglounge.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">R&amp;G Lounge<\/a> on Kearney St.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"gb-block-image gb-block-image-6319847a\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" class=\"gb-image gb-image-6319847a\" src=\"https:\/\/bucketlistjourney.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/RG-Menu-300x225.jpg\" srcset=\"https:\/\/bucketlistjourney.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/RG-Menu-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/bucketlistjourney.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/RG-Menu.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gb-headline gb-headline-e6208676 gb-headline-text\">When we entered we were quickly ushered downstairs to a bustling restaurant filled with seemingly happy customers. I perused the&nbsp;overwhelming menu, thanking the culture for insightfully including&nbsp;photos&nbsp;for folks, such as myself, who are in foreign territory. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gb-headline gb-headline-3efd48b9 gb-headline-text\">I immediately narrowed the&nbsp;selection down to four&nbsp;Asian delicacies that I have never tried before;&nbsp;eating jellyfish, shark fin,&nbsp;conch or pig knuckle. Yum, Yum! I opted for&nbsp;eating jellyfish because it was the one thing that I didn&#8217;t realize you could actually eat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It arrived at the table, accompanied with BBQed pork and I was happy that at least I had another option. I ran my fork through my lunch which had&nbsp;the consistency of&nbsp;gummy worms. Dig in! It turns out that jelly fish really has no taste besides the sauce it was marinated in. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I urged my mother&nbsp;{AKA: partner in crime} to take a little bite, but she vehemently declined, disgusted at the thought.
